Our team has once again been busy in Iceland as several new VITBŪVE timber-frame houses continue to take shape.
To coincide with these projects, we’ll be holding a series of Open House events where anyone interested in building a home can visit our construction sites, see the progress firsthand, and speak directly with our team.
What to Expect
These are not finished show homes focused on interior designs or décor. Instead, you’ll be visiting houses that are nearing completion, giving you the opportunity to:
- Walk through a real prefab timber-frame house during construction.
- See how the structural system is assembled on site.
- Learn how prefabricated timber-frame elements come together to form a complete home.
- Discuss design options, pricing, construction stages, and the overall building process with our team.
Our CTO, Kaspars Ozoliņš, will be present throughout the Open House events and will be available to answer both technical and practical questions.
Why Visit During Construction?
Many details of a timber-frame house are easiest to understand while construction is still underway. Once insulation, interior finishes, and façade materials are installed, the structural details are no longer accessible.
For anyone considering building a home, visiting an active construction site offers a practical understanding of how our houses are designed, manufactured, delivered from Latvia, and assembled in Iceland.
Open House Schedule
- Selfoss : 22-23 August (Saturday-Sunday)
- Akureyri : 26-27 August (Wednesday-Thursday)
- Selfoss : 28 August (Friday)
